§ 11-05-100. Generally—Escape from jail.

  • (a)

    Escape from jail consists of any person who shall have been lawfully committed to any jail for the commission of a crime, escaping or attempting to escape from such jail or from a work detail to which such person is assigned.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to commit the offense defined in this section.
