§ 17-09-040. Alarm user registration.

(a)

It shall be a violation of this ordinance for any person to operate an alarm system that has not been properly registered with the department of public safety.

(b)

No person shall operate or permit the operation of an alarm system which was installed on the person's property prior to the effective date of this ordinance unless it has been properly registered with the department of public safety. Within sixty (60) days of the effective date, the alarm user or the alarm system business for alarms monitored by an alarm system business, shall register the alarm with the department of public safety pursuant to section 17-09-050.

(c)

Within thirty (30) days of the installation of an alarm system after the effective date of this ordinance, the alarm user or the alarm system business for alarms monitored by an alarm system business shall register the alarm pursuant to section 17-09-050.
