§ 19-03-020. Organization.

  • The parks, playground and recreation committee, when appointed and qualified pursuant to section 19-03-010, shall organize by the election of one of its members as chairman and one as vice-chairman. A similar election shall be held each year as soon as possible after July first, and the appointment and qualification of new members. When a vacancy is filled by appointment other than upon the expiration of the term of the member, it is not necessary for the committee to reorganize. The recreational director of the city shall be an ex officio member of such committee and will be the secretary of such committee. While acting in such capacity, it will be the duty of the recreational director to keep true and correct minutes of the meetings of such committee, to furnish copies of such minutes to the members of the city commission as soon as practical after each meeting of the committee, to give notice to the members of the committee of all meetings, and to furnish to members of the committee copies of the previous minutes prior to the next meeting of the committee.
