§ 24-12-1-84.1. Tribe.

"Tribe" means an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo that is located wholly or partially in New Mexico. For purposes of violations resulting in suspension or revocation of licenses and for DWI offenses (66-5-25, 26, 30 and 66-8-102), "tribe" is further defined as one that has executed an intergovernmental agreement with the state pursuant to Section 66-5-27.1 NMSA 1978.
