§ 28-02-020. Use of private facilities restricted—Generally.

No privies, cesspools or septic tanks shall be constructed or permitted within the area which is served by sanitary sewer facilities. Upon failure of a property owner to comply with the provisions hereof, written notice by the plumbing inspector shall be given demanding that connection with such sewer be made within thirty (30) days from date of such notice. Upon failure to comply with such notice, then and in that event the city shall have the power and the authority to make such connection, the cost and expense of which shall be a lien against any such property. The sewer connection fee as established by the city commission, for each and every connection made within the sewer district of the city shall be paid in advance before a permit for such connection shall be issued.
