§ 28-03-037. City manager's authority to restrict water use.

  • During periods of unusual circumstances, such as, but not limited to drought or other interruptions to the supply of available water. The city manager may establish restrictions on the outdoor use of water that are more restrictive than established in this article. If the city manager takes such action, the action shall be placed upon the agenda of the city commission not later than the next regularly scheduled meeting of the city commission for approval, amendment, or disapproval. If approved or approved as modified, such approval shall be made by commission resolution specifically setting forth the provisions of the restriction in full and published in a newspaper of general circulation in the city after adoption. The city manager shall take such other steps as seems to him most effective to inform the public.
