§ 2-03-280. Department of Finance—Duties generally.

  • The duties of the director of finance shall include the keeping and supervision of all accounts and the custody of all public money of the municipality; the purchase, storage and distribution of supplies, services and equipment needed by the various departments; the making and collection of special assessments; the collection of license fees and taxes and such other duties as assigned by ordinance and city manager. In all cases where the duty is not expressly charged to any other department or office, the director of finance shall act to promote, secure and preserve the financial and property interests of the city, and safely keep in designated depositories all funds belonging to the city and all other securities in safety deposit boxes of an approved institution designated by the commission and other duties as assigned by the city manager.
