§ 2-05-12. Police chief.

The police chief shall be the head of the police department, and all officers and employees assigned to the police department shall perform their duties subject to his supervision. The police chief shall have supervision over and have all the duties and power assigned by law or ordinance to the chief of police. The police chief shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the city manager.
