§ 2-08-010. Chief executive.

The mayor of the City of Alamogordo shall have the responsibility of directing the organizations and resources of the city in the event of a civil emergency. In the absence or unavailability of the mayor, the mayor pro tem shall act as chief executive. In the absence or unavailability of the mayor and the mayor pro tem, the remaining commissioners shall select one of their members to act as chief executive for the city. The member selected shall be chosen by a majority of those present at the time. In the absence of or unavailability of all commission members, then the city manager, acting in behalf of the commission, shall act as chief executive.
