§ 2-10-010. Creation of department.

There is hereby created a department of utilities. The department shall oversee the following functions: water supply and treatment; wastewater collection and treatment; and maintenance and repair of the public utilities infrastructure. The department of utilities shall consist of a director and such other officers and employees as may be provided for by the city manager. The department director shall be the head of the department, and shall administer the affairs of the department, manage and have charge of the functions assigned to the utilities department, and shall perform such other duties as assigned by the city manager.
