§ 2-13-350. Source selection methods assigned to project delivery methods.

  • (a)

    Scope. This section specifies the source selection methods applicable to procurements for the project delivery methods identified in section 2-13-340, except as otherwise provided by this article for small purchases, sole source procurements, procurements under existing contracts, and special purchase procurements.

    (b)

    Design-bid-build.

    (1)

    Professional services. The purchase of the services of architects or engineers, construction management, land surveying services or other professional services, as defined in section 2-13-030, for a design-bid-build project shall be purchased in the manner provided by sections 2-13-120 and 2-13-130 of the city purchasing ordinance.

    (2)

    Construction. Competitive sealed bidding must be used to procure construction in design-bid-build procurements.

    (c)

    Construction management at-risk. Contracts for construction management at-risk must be procured by using the multiphase selection procedure described in section 2-13-360.

    (d)

    Design-build. Contracts for design-build must be procured by the selection process described in section 2-13-370.

    (e)

    Design-build-operate-maintain. Contracts for design-build-operate-maintain must be procured by the selection process described in section 2-13-370.

    (f)

    Design-build-finance-operate-maintain. Contracts for design-build-finance-operate-maintain must be procured by the selection process described in section 2-13-370.
