§ 2-16-030. Generally—Fire chief.

  • The fire chief shall be the head of the fire department, and all officers and employees assigned to the fire department shall perform their duties subject to his supervision. The fire chief shall have supervision over and have all the duties and power assigned by law or ordinance to the chief of the fire department. The fire chief shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the city manager.
