§ 32-01-020. Private sales and exchanges.

(a)

If the sale or exchange is to be negotiated, a public notice of the terms and conditions of the sale, and a statement that alternate proposals may be presented at a specified meeting of the city commission, shall be published at least twice, according to subsection J of Section 3-1-2 NMSA 1978, not less than seven (7) days apart, with the last publication not less than seven (7) days before the specified meeting.

(b)

Any alternate proposal presented at the meeting may be accepted by the city commission, if the alternate proposal better serves the public interest than the negotiated sale or exchange.

(c)

The negotiated sale or exchange, or the alternate proposal, may be completed at any time following the meeting specified in this section.
