§ 11-03-010. Abandonment of child.

  • (a)

    Abandonment of a child consists of the parent, guardian or custodian of a child, intentionally leaving the child or abandoning the child under circumstances whereby the child may or does suffer neglect, but which does not result in the death of or great bodily harm to the child.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to commit the offense defined in this section.
