§ 11-05-220. Generally—Unauthorized use of vehicle signs.

(a)

Unauthorized use of vehicle signs consists of displaying on any vehicle, whether moving or parked, the words "police," "police department," "Alamogordo Police Department," "department of police," "DPS," "fire department," "Alamogordo Fire Department," or words or insignia of similar import without authority of the city manager; provided that, nothing herein shall apply to any state police, county sheriff or county fire department vehicles.

(b)

It shall be unlawful for any person to commit the offense defined in this section.
