§ 12-02-050. Appeals from decisions of the fire marshal.

  • Whenever the fire marshal disapproves an application or refuses to grant a permit applied for, or when it is claimed that the provisions of the International Fire Code, 2003 Edition do not apply or that the true intent and meaning of the Fire Code, 2003 Edition have been misconstrued or wrongly interpreted, the applicant may appeal from the decision of the fire marshal within thirty (30) days from the date of the decision. The fire marshal shall submit the appeal in writing to the code writing authority for official interpretation. The official interpretation shall constitute the final decision on any appeal.
