§ 16-02-020. Purposes.

The library board is created as a liaison between the community and its government for the following purposes:
(1)

To keep itself informed of library needs and to serve as a forum for discussion.

(2)

To recommend to the city manager and/or city commission and the county commission policies for overall development including plans for additional library facilities and programs.

(3)

To encourage the greatest use of library facilities and programs.
