§ 16-02-030. Composition.

(a)

The library board shall consist of seven (7) members, five (5) registered voters residing in the city and two (2) registered voters residing in the county, outside the city. The members shall include, as far as possible, representatives of various geographic, ethnic, socio-economic, professional and business interests of the community.

(b)

The five (5) members residing within the city limits of the city shall be appointed by the mayor with the advice and approval of a majority of the remaining members of the city commission.

(c)

The two (2) members residing in the county, but outside the limits of the city, shall be appointed by the chairman of the county board of commissioners with the approval of the majority of the county board of commissioners.
