§ 18-02-060. Authority to hear cases.

  • As provided by law, the municipal judge is authorized, empowered and required to inquire into, hear and determine all offenses committed within the limits of the city, for a violation of any of the ordinances of the city, and to punish the offenders upon conviction as prescribed by such laws.

    No jury shall be required or allowed in the trial of any case before a municipal judge for violating any of the laws of the city.
