§ 2-13-140. Sole source purchases.

  • When the city requires goods or services which are produced by only one (1) manufacturer and such manufacturer or its agent is the sole source of supply, regardless of the estimated cost of the purchase, the central purchasing office is authorized to negotiate a purchase with the manufacturer or its authorized representative at prices and on terms most advantageous to the city. The central purchasing office shall retain documentation supporting the fairness and reasonableness of the price and validity of the sole source.
