§ 2-13-090. Purchases by written quotation.

  • Purchases of goods, services and construction may be made by the central purchasing office by requests for quotation, in accordance with the following provisions:

    (1)

    A single purchase involving the expenditure of more than the limit set for "small purchase orders," as provided in section 2-13-080, small purchase requirements, but not more than sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00), may be made after requesting at least three (3) written quotations. Purchases shall be made from the responsible offer or submitting the lowest responsive offer. If fewer than three (3) responsive offers are obtainable, the purchase may be made at the best documented obtainable price.

    (2)

    Separate purchases of the same or similar goods or services from the same or different businesses at or about the same time shall be considered a single purchase for purposes of this section.
