§ 8-08-090. Inspection of premises outside the city limits served by the municipal water system.

  • Customer services located outside the inspection jurisdiction of the city, which are connected to the municipal water system, shall be subject to this article and all rules and regulations adopted in accordance with these provisions with the exception of permitting requirements. The customer's contractor, when outside of the city jurisdiction, shall obtain a plumbing permit from the construction industries division of the state regulation and licensing department for the installation of air-gaps and backflow prevention assemblies. Installations must comply with the city specifications. It shall be the responsibility of the customer's contractor to arrange for required inspection by the inspection jurisdiction and provide proof of inspection to the city building code division. As a condition of continued service, the customer shall be required to provide access for inspection by the building code division or authorized agent at reasonable times to inspect the air-gaps and backflow prevention assemblies, and to make all required corrections arising out of said inspection(s).
